You might think that you’re looking after your skin but we bet there are a few bad habits that you have that may well be having an impact on your appearance. Here are just four seemingly harmless habits that you might want to change if you want to keep that youthful glow you love.

Late nights

Getting a good night’s sleep can work wonders for your skin. If you’re constantly missing out on sleep week in, week out you’ll likely find that your skin looks dull and tired. Try to prioritise sleep where you can, aiming for between seven and eight hours a night.

Too much sugar

It’s thought that eating excessive amounts of sugar can make your skin look dull and even contribute to the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. From the age of 35 onwards, wrinkles are likely to become even more pronounced so try to limit your sugar intake if you can.

No exercise

One of the main reasons people hit the gym is to keep the pounds off (especially at this time of year), but lack of exercise can also take its toll on your skin. Start off small (perhaps follow Joe Wicks’ Lean in 15 workouts and meal plans if you’re not sure where to begin) and then take it from there.

Not enough fruit and veg

Try to eat a portion of fruit and veg with every meal and you should see the quality of your skin start to improve. This type of produce is packed full of antioxidants, which are really good for you both inside and out.
