Derma Institute Finalists at the Aesthetics Awards 2026
Recognising excellence in medical aesthetics education and leadership
We are pleased to announce that Derma Institute has been named a finalist at the Aesthetics Awards 2026, the most established and respected awards ceremony within the UK medical aesthetics speciality.
The Aesthetics Awards recognise excellence across the sector, celebrating organisations and individuals who demonstrate high standards in education, patient safety, innovation, and professional development. With hundreds of entries submitted each year and a rigorous judging process combined with industry voting, being shortlisted is a significant achievement.
Derma Institute – Independent Training Provider of the Year
Derma Institute has been shortlisted for Independent Training Provider of the Year, an award recognising training providers that have made a clear and measurable contribution to medical aesthetics education over the past 12 months.
Judges assess the quality of training delivery, programme structure, continuous development strategies, measurable outcomes, and delegate feedback. Being named a finalist reflects our ongoing commitment to doctor-led education, hands-on learning, and patient safety at every stage of training.
Over the past year, Derma Institute has continued to expand and refine its training programmes across the UK and internationally. We support healthcare professionals through foundation, advanced, and postgraduate pathways, including Botox and dermal filler training, advanced masterclasses, and the OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Clinical Injectable Therapies.
Our focus remains on practical, real-world education that builds clinical confidence and supports long-term professional growth.
Mike Sherwood – Company Champion of the Year
Alongside Derma Institute’s nomination, Mike Sherwood has been shortlisted for Company Champion of the Year, representing Derma Institute.
Mike is the Marketing Director at Derma Institute and also works independently as a Medical Aesthetics Business Coach, supporting clinic owners and aesthetic practitioners across the UK. His work focuses on helping practitioners build sustainable, compliant, and well-structured businesses alongside their clinical practice.
Within Derma Institute, Mike plays a key role in marketing strategy, delegate engagement, business development, and long-term growth planning. His focus is on improving the delegate experience, strengthening communication, and ensuring training pathways are supported by clear systems, guidance, and ongoing mentorship.
This award recognises individuals who make a meaningful behind-the-scenes contribution, supporting teams, improving processes, and enhancing the client experience. Being shortlisted reflects a consistent commitment to raising professional standards and supporting the long-term success of clinics and practitioners across the aesthetics sector.
Building on Previous Industry Recognition
These nominations build on previous recognition, including being voted Best Education Training Provider at the Safety in Beauty Diamond Awards in both 2024 and 2025.
Receiving this award for consecutive years was particularly meaningful, as it reflects the trust and confidence of both judges and the wider professional community.
Together, these acknowledgements reinforce our long-term approach to education, safety, and delegate support, rather than short-term trends.
